A lot of you probably already know him: Yoon Jongshin, one of Korea's most recognizable singer-producers, just landed in New York. He and Jinguk go way back — childhood friends since elementary school, plus a pandemic-era project together and a spontaneous music video shoot years ago. This time he's here to do a museum tour with us. And we're going to document it on our Youtube channel @migukTV.
Turns out Jongshin knows more about art than we expected — maybe an occupational side effect of decades in music. Jinguk happens to run museum tours around New York, so we are doing a five-day art-lover's circuit: the Met, MoMA, the Guggenheim, all the way up to Dia Beacon in the Hudson Valley. A few good restaurant stops along the way too, obviously.
This is episode one of that series. It opens with the JFK pickup and Jinguk's favorite way into Manhattan — over the Brooklyn Bridge, with that East River view.
This kicks off a five-part series with Jongshin. His appearance on the Korean variety show 'Happy Together (해피투게더)" with Yoo Jae-suk(유재석) just started airing too.
From the JFK pickup to a Koreatown night that surprised even a 30-year New Yorker, the rest is in the video.
